News – Nick to be a guest at Whooverville 8 on Saturday 3rd September

Whooverville is the East Midlands’ biggest annual get-together to fans of the BBC TV series ‘Doctor Who’. Organised by Derby’s local Doctor Who group, the Whoovers, one of the most popular fan groups in the UK, Whooverville is a day of fun for all ages. A Whooverville event is a chance to have your photo taken with the TARDIS, catch up on gossip from the latest series, purchase new and classic merchandise, take part in a Doctor Who pod-cast, add to the autograph album and meet some of the people from in front of and behind the camera.

This year the event is being held at on Saturday 3 September from 10am to 5pm at QUAD, The Market Place, DE1 3AS, Derby.

Guests so far include Katy Manning (Jo Grant), Sophie Aldred (Ace), Kai Owen (Rhys – Torchwood), Michael Jayston (The Valeyard), Nicholas Briggs (Voice of the Daleks & Big Finish Executive Producer), Eric Saward (Script Editor), Matthew Dale (Big John – Sponsored Guest). More guests to be announced soon.

Tickets are available now from QUAD. ADULTS(12yrs+): £40. CHILDREN (5-12yrs): £10. CONCESSIONS (check QUAD website for details when booking): £25. Children under 5 are free but must be accompanied by a paying adult.
